Perfectly Rubellite

Gold, Diamonds & Rubellites

Gold, Diamonds & Rubellites

First of all, a Ruby is a precious stone whereas the Rubellite is a rare gemstone.

(One of a Kind. Numbered Works)

Created from a deeply intuitive process. I had to trust the energy on creating these two rubellite pendants that showcase the stunning depth of color of the red tourmaline. A stone prized for it's rarity, the red tourmaline is known as Rubellite and is another option for people who are desire a red gemstone but don't connect with rubies. Its name comes from the Latin word "rubellus" which means reddish.

In design process I wanted to create balance and some hint of light, so I knew the stones needed a diamond trail but not encasing the stone. So we kept the line of diamonds subtle. At the size of 1.2mm, these nine diamonds were perfect to create a hint of light.
