PRODUCTION

CHARLTON & LOLA jewelry is made with the finest materials, including precious metals and gemstones, and crafted with learned techniques. As such, each piece takes time to create and finish. Each jewelry item description will specify in more detail the production process. Besides my own hands, please know that I'm working with some of the best jewelers and craftsmen in the city to create pieces, so your patience is truly appreciated. 

Order Lead Times for Ready-Made Jewelry - For CHARLTON & LOLA ready-made jewelry, please allow 72 hours for your order to process and then, based on shipping selected, the allotted time to receive pieces.

Order Lead for Custom-Made Jewelry - the design process for each piece of CHARLTON & LOLA custom-made fine jewelry will vary in scope, complexity, and materials. Client approval is required prior to creation. Normally, the entire process averages 6-8 weeks. Each custom order receives the closest personal attention from Lisa. Therefore, lead times quoted are approximate and subject to change with fluctuating variables.

Design by Stone Jewelry-Stones featured in the "Stones" section are usually selected and purchased by Lisa, for their uniqueness, both in nature and quality. Jewelry that uses “Stones” in its design will follow the same guidelines, processes, and lead times stated in “Custom-Made Fine Jewelry”.

PAYMENT

Payment for CHARLTON & LOLA jewelry is due in its entirety before receiving jewelry pieces, whether ready-made or custom. No part of the design process will begin before the amount due has been received.

CHARLTON & LOLA accepts all major credit cards and PayPal.  All state, local, and country taxes will be charged on orders where applicable. Taxes will be based on the order’s shipping address. The on-screen transaction total reflects estimated tax. The actual sales tax will be calculated when your order is shipped and may vary from estimated tax.

Once an order has been submitted it is considered final. We cannot guarantee that the purchase can be modified or cancelled.  Please contact us to discuss issues.

SHIPPING

CHARLTON & LOLA jewelry purchases through our e-commerce site will be shipped to the USA and internationally at the buyer's cost. CHARLTON & LOLA ships via USPS and UPS, and thus packages are insured. Packages will require a signature upon delivery unless otherwise requested. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Please contact us and we'll try our best to accommodate such deliveries.

We are not responsible for client lost packages, unsecured packages or items damaged due to carelessness. After your order leaves the studio, it should arrive in 15 business days or sooner, depending on which shipping option the buyer selects. Please also note that shipping charges are non-refundable and we do not pay for shipping, duties or taxes on any items which are returned to us.

Our jewelry is handcrafted and is guaranteed against creation and material defects only. With proper care, CHARLTON & LOLA pieces should last a lifetime.

 

CLIENT EXPECTATIONS

I strive to make every client experience with CHARLTON & LOLA as simple and pleasurable as possible. I make every effort to ensure the buyer is completely thrilled with the pieces created for them.  Due to the nature of some handcrafted jewelry, there can be slight variations between products. I reserve the right to make minor design changes without notice, as necessary.

Although I do my best effort to display products as accurately as possible, the actual colors of the metals or stones could appear differently from the images on the website. I cannot be responsible for any inaccuracy in this regard.

If the buyer feel dissatisfied with their jewelry or the order experience, please contact us so I can remedy the situation to the best of my ability. Please note that the policies are made very clear, and I can only offer solutions that fall within our stated guidelines.

Care &  Repair

In General - In general, put on your jewelry after applying beauty products such as lotions and perfumes. Ideally, jewelry should be removed before swimming or working with abrasive cleaners or chemicals.

Silver - Fine silver and sterling silver are quick to oxidize and therefore require regular cleaning. To get the shine back, use a polishing cloth; a little toothpaste with a rag also works. A toothbrush and a mild detergent will easily remove signs of tarnish.

Gold - Clean your jewelry gently with a soft polishing cloth. 14k and 18k gold does not oxidize. With black rhodium gold, avoid ultrasonic cleaning or any form of liquid cleaning solution. Clean it with a mild detergent mixed with water.

Platinum - Clean your jewelry gently with a soft polishing cloth. Platinum does not oxidize. Clean it with a mild detergent mixed with water.

 

Diamonds & Gemstones - Clean your gemstone jewelry gently with a soft polishing cloth.  Feel free to remove grit with a little warm water, a mild detergent and a toothbrush. For a deeper clean, do have it professionally cleaned by an ultrasonic cleaning with your local jeweler.  

Pearls are of their own delicate nature and need a little more care. Unlike other gemstones, pearls are softer and, therefore, more vulnerable to acids, alkaline, and extreme humidity levels. Perspiration can also be harmful to pearls and can cause the pearl's luster to dull.

With pearls, just wipe with a soft cloth after wear. Please avoid ultrasonic machines or any form of liquid cleaning solution to maintain your pearl jewelry’s natural glow and protect it.

Avoid exposure to cosmetics, hairspray or perfume. Avoid dipping pearls in water or wearing them while bathing as water can weaken the silk thread.

Repairs & Exchanges

Sales of CHARLTON & LOLA jewelry are final. We reserve the discretion to make exchanges. Please contact us regarding any problems and we will do the best we can to resolve them to your satisfaction.

Please enclose a description of the matter at issue, your contact information, and the original sales invoice.  We recommend putting tracking on your package as we are not responsible for lost packages through the mail or any delivery service. Please allow 4 weeks for repair. Damage due to normal wear and tear will be fixed complimentary; we reserve the right to determine what constitutes normal wear and tear versus damage.
