Knowledge is Luxury: Lisa Guest Lectures at Vogue College of Fashion in New York
Knowledge is Luxury
In July 2026, Lisa, founder and creative director of Charlton & Lola, was invited to serve as a guest lecturer at Vogue College of Fashion in New York City.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience in New York City’s Diamond District, Lisa spoke with students about fine jewelry, luxury, craftsmanship, trust, and entrepreneurship.
The lecture offered a behind-the-scenes perspective on the jewelry industry, including the importance of material knowledge, the role of craftsmanship in creating lasting value, and the relationships that support a successful luxury business.
Students also participated in interactive exercises designed to encourage closer observation, creative thinking, and a deeper understanding of how a luxury brand is built.
For Lisa, the experience was an opportunity to share lessons from her professional journey from law and bench training to establishing an independent fine-jewelry house in New York.
It was an honor to contribute to the education of the next generation of fashion and luxury professionals and to share a central Charlton & Lola philosophy:
Knowledge is luxury.
